Melissa DeWitt and Thomas Jones announce their engagement.

Ms. DeWitt is the daughter of Milton DeWitt of Oakland, Md., and Michael and Sue Myers of Aurora, W.Va. She is a graduate of Preston High School and a student at Hagerstown Community College. She is employed as a Realtor with The Glocker Group Realty Results in Hagerstown.

Mr. Jones is the son of William and Nancy Jones of Lynn Haven, Fla. He is a graduate of Hammond High School and a graduate of Salisbury State University. He is employed as a supervisory park ranger with the National Park Service at Antietam National Battlefield.

An Aug. 7, 2010, wedding is planned.
