Katie Baker and Shane Carbaugh announce their engagement.

Miss Baker is the daughter of Debbie and Ronnie Baker of Clear Spring. She is a 1998 graduate of Clear Spring High School and a 2002 graduate of University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a Bachelor of Science. She received a Master of Arts in 2004 and is pursuing a Master of Education from Frostburg State University. She is employed as a teacher at Bester Elementary.

Mr. Carbaugh is the son of Kathy and Harry Carbaugh Jr. of Hagerstown. He is a 1997 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and a 2001 graduate of Frostburg State University with a Bachelor of Science, and received a Master of Business Administration in 2003. He is employed as a site manager with Harkins Builders Inc. in Mariottsville, Md.

A June 11, 2010, wedding is planned.
