Tom and Renee Peterson of Boonsboro are thrilled to announce the marriage of Amanda Leah Recker to their son, Marcus Neal Peterson. The couple exchanged vows on March 16, 2013, at Tri-State Fellowship Church in Hagerstown.

The officiant of the ceremony was the groom's grandfather, Ron Bowen, of Haymarket, Va.

Standing up for the couple were maid of honor, Marielena Dias; best man, Aaron Coffman; bridesmaids Abigail Recker, Kayla Peterson, Elizabeth Recker and Merissa Medley; and groomsmen Kenny Lisle, Michael Garver, David Engle and Kent Lewis.

The bride and groom enjoyed their candlelit ceremony and country-themed reception, and then headed for a brief honeymoon in Gatlinburg and Nashville, Tenn., before returning to college at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Amanda is from Palm Coast, Fla. She graduated from Embry-Riddle in May with a Bachelor of Science in human factors psychology. She telecommutes as an intern with RTI International.

Marcus, a 2009 graduate of Williamsport High School, will complete his master's degree in human factors psychology from Embry-Riddle this summer.

The happy couple now resides in Pooler, Ga., where Marcus is fulfilling his second internship with Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.
