Christine Beth Burgesser and Travis Cornell Divelbiss were married Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Rockland Estates in Fairplay.
Pastor Douglas Courter officiated the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Gregory Burgesser. The bride wore a Sottero and Midgley gown, tulle embellished with corded lace, trumpet silhouette, corset back closure and a scalloped lace hem. The gown had an eyelash lace sweetheart neckline and a cathedral train, as well as a crystal-and-pearl beaded sash. She carried a short cascade bouquet of bright yellow roses, small spray roses, white hydrangea, green button pompons, green bupleurum, green hypericum and ruscus foliage.
The maid of honor and sister of the bride was Amy Burgesser of Winston-Salem, N.C. The matron of honor and dear friend of the bride was Christina Weber of Clear Spring. Bridesmaids were Laura Watkins of Waynesboro, Pa., Rachel Fox of Charleston, S.C., and Lea Cookson of Denver, Colo., all longtime friends of the bride; and McKenzie Divelbiss of Clear Spring, sister of the groom.
The flower girl was Kennadie Barb of Woodbridge, Va., cousin of the bride. Ring bearers were Cord and Kace Trumpower of Mercersburg, Pa., friends of the groom.
The best men were Andrew Michael of Big Pool and Rodney Swope of Clear Spring, both longtime friends of the groom. Groomsmen were Andrew Kaetzel of Smithsburg and Kirk Trumpower of Mercersburg, both friends of the groom; Jason Hose of Clear Spring, cousin of the groom; and Michael Burgesser of Clear Spring, brother of the bride.
The happy couple was wed in an outdoor ceremony, followed by a backyard cocktail hour and tented dinner reception at Rockland Estates.
The bride is the daughter of Gregory and Pamela Burgesser of Hagerstown. She is a 2006 graduate of Clear Spring High School. In 2009, she received a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in marketing and minor in information systems from Salisbury University. She is employed as a marketing brand coordinator with The Plamondon Companies in Frederick, Md.
The groom is the son of Douglas and Lori Divelbiss of Clear Spring. He is a 2004 graduate of Clear Spring High School. In 2007, he received an associate degree in criminal justice from Hagerstown Community College. He is employed with the National Park Service at Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg.
The newlyweds honeymooned at Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The couple resides in Clear Spring.
