Embly-Kershner

Jamie Cheyenne Kershner and Jason Lynn Embly were married Nov. 19, 2011, at First Christian Church in Hagerstown.

The Rev. Steven L. Johns-Boehme officiated the ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Michael and Shirley Kershner of Hagerstown. She wore a strapless organza gown in ivory from Mori Lee designed by Madeline Gardner, with crystal beaded embellishments throughout the bust and waist. The gown had a ruched waist and hip line with a side layered skirt and classic train. She carried an arrangement of sunflowers, calla lilys, alstroemeria, mums, button mums, berries and assorted silk leaves wrapped in burgundy ribbon.

Maid of honor was Meagan Hart, friend of the couple. Bridal attendants were Jessica Roschli, Erin Starliper, Ashley Pearcey, and Jennifer Tedrick, all friends of the couple. They wore strapless A-line gowns with a ruched bust, waist and hip line in a spice color designed by Bill Pesce from Jordan Fashion. Each attendant carried an arrangement of Gerber daisys, alstroemeria, mums, button mums, berries and assorted silk leaves wrapped in ivory ribbon. Flower girl was Makenna Kershner, daughter of the couple.

Best man was Joshua Hart, friend of the couple. Groomsmen were Travis Bricker, James Spickler, Brian Starliper, and Christopher Higgins, all friends of the couple. Usher was Cody Kershner, brother of bride. They wore black-on-black pin-striped tuxedos from Tuxedo Junction with vest and ties in a spice color, while the groom's was ivory. His lapel bore a a single calla lily and berries; his attendants wore a single Gerber daisy on their lapels.

A reception was held at Leiter's Ballroom downtown Hagerstown.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Washington County Technical High School with a focus in criminal justice. She is employed as a customer service representative with Aetna through Payflex Systems in Hagerstown.

The bridegroom is the son of Leonard and Michele Embly of Fairplay. He is a 2001 graduate from Williamsport High School. He is employed with PSI in Williamsport.

The couple honeymooned at the Bavarian Inn.

They live in Williamsport.
