Kara Rosenthal and Erik Henderson were married Sept. 28, 2013, at Verulam Farm in Charlottesville, Va. The ceremony was officiated by the groom's sixth-grade teacher, the Rev. Allen Crawley of Waynesboro, Va.
The bride wore a sleeveless satin A-line gown with a hand-beaded bateau neckline and a low V-back. She carried a bouquet of wildflowers. She was given in marriage by her father, Todd Rosenthal.
The maid of honor was Stephanie McGee of Boonsboro. Bridal attendants were Jennifer Jiang of Vienna, Va.; Alicia Mau of Charlottesville; Magali Fort of Paris; and Meghan Pennington of Washington, D.C., all friends of the bride.
The flower girls were Ava and Zoey Seilhammer, daughters of Amanda Tedrick of Boonsboro.
Best man was Chris Henderson of Richmond, Va., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Brett Rosenthal of Hagerstown, brother of the bride; Joe Stohlmann of Lahaina, Hawaii; Jay Geiger of Arlington, Va.; and Onno Schimmel of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, all friends of the groom.
Ring bearer was Graham LeFevre of Chesterfield, Va., cousin of the groom.
The ceremony was held in the fields of Verulam Farm, followed by a reception in the cider barn. The band, In Full, provided the entertainment for the evening.
The bride is the daughter of Todd and Kay Rosenthal of Hagerstown. She graduated from Saint James School in 2003 and the University of Virginia in 2007. She is employed as an implementation consultant for the product development department of SNL Financial in Charlottesville.
The groom is the son of Tony and Becky Henderson of Waynesboro. He graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1999 and James Madison University in 2004. He is employed as a revenue and tax compliance accountant in the finance department of SNL Financial.
They are planning a honeymoon to Croatia in the spring of 2014.
They reside in Charlottesville.
