Tina Marie Beatty and Robert Allan Beavan were married Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in Thurmont, Md.

The bride is the daughter of the late Rose Smith. She is a graduate of South Hagerstown High School and is employed as an administrative assistant by The Arc of Washington County Inc.

The bridegroom is the son of Agnes Marie Beavan of Leonardtown, Md., and the late James Benjamin Beavan. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a bachelor's degree in agricultural education, and a graduate of Western Maryland College with a master's degree in supervision and administration. He is employed with Frederick County Public Schools as a transition education coordinator at Middletown High School in Middletown, Md.

They live in Hagerstown.
