Julie Ann Hausman and Aaron Benjamin Clopper were married Sept. 19, 2009, at the Clopper residence in Smithsburg.

The bride is the daughter of Marion and John Hausman of Hedgesville, W.Va. She is a 1998 graduate of Seneca Valley High School in Germantown, Md., and a 2002 graduate of Albright College in Reading, Pa. She is employed with Brooke Grove Foundation, Williamsport.

The bridegroom is the son of Sally and Benjamin Clopper of Smithsburg. He is a 1995 graduate of Smithsburg High School, and a 1999 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va. He is employed with Brook Lane Health Services.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, John Hausman. The officiating clergy was Deborah J. Cathers. Bridal attendants were: junior bridesmaid Kaela Dempsey, niece of the bride; best man Joseph Clopper, brother of the groom; ring bearers Jacob Seamer and Zayne Hausman, nephews of the bride; and ushers were Christian Dempsey and Trevor Dempsey, nephews of the bride.

The reception was held in Smithsburg.

A honeymoon is planned for the spring.
