Bettina Ann Grahek and Jeffrey Kemp Sperry were married Jan. 4, 2010, at Grace United Methodist Church in Middletown, Va. The Rev. Thomas H. Keithley officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Tingler of Warner Robins, Ga., and the late Donald W. Bussard.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Sperry.
The bride was given in marriage by Melvin Snyder. She wore a contemporary-style strapless gown with a fitted bodice and a full antebellum skirt of French tulle over satin in a soft shade of champagne. She carried pastel roses in ivory, pink and peach.
Her matron of honor was Devona Snyder; Miranda Godfrey was flower girl. Miranda sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "Someday My Prince Will Come" during the ceremony.
Best man was Michael Sperry.
A reception was held at Wayside Inn in Middletown.
The bride earned a Master of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a doctoral student in education policy at the University of Maryland, College Park and is completing graduate coursework at Johns Hopkins University. She is an assistant principal with Jefferson County Public Schools in Charles Town, W.Va.
The bridegroom is an electrician for Volvo Powertrains NA and is a member of UAW Local 171.
They are planning a summer garden reception at the home of the bride's mother in Georgia.
They live in Kearneysville, W.Va.
