Jana Lyn Reel and Ched Michael Koontz were married Oct. 10, 2009, at 76th Street on the beach at Ocean City, Md.

The bride is the daughter of William and Kay Reel of Williamsport, and Dale and Dorothy Zimmerman of Hagerstown. She is a 1993 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. She is employed as a certified dental assistant with Robinwood Dental Center in Hagerstown.

The bridegroom is the son of Pamela and Gary Koontz of Hagerstown. He is a 1994 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and a 1999 graduate of Frostburg State University. He is employed as chief of mainframe operations at the IRS in Martinsburg, W.Va. He is the owner of Victorian Memories Antique in Hagerstown.

The bride was given away by her son, Layne Hammond. Riley Hammmond, the bride's daughter, served as flower girl. Both children were included in the ceremony and given family medallions to commemorate the union. The bride's flowers were dried lavender, a traditional Irish bridal flower. The officiating clergy was the Rev. Sean Rox.

The reception was held at B.P.O.E. in Ocean City.

The entire family accompanied them on a wedding weekend in Ocean City. Then the bride and groom took a cruise to Florida and the Bahamas for their honeymoon.

They live in Hagerstown.
